YACHTSCHULE BORBY is a very traditional sailingschool for families with children, for kids, juniors and elder guests.

Situated in the middle of the harbour of the city of Eckernförde the old towncenter is just 150 m away with its restaurants, old houses, wooden harbour bridge and fishermenhuts. Since 1976 Charly - a former Navy Sailing Teacher - has educated some 3000 guests and children from the first steps to good seamenship - starting with the first knot and comming up to fine sailing in races.

So we are offering three different groups :

the kidsgroup aged 7 to 12 , sailing the famous Optimist dinghy

the junior group from 12 to 18 , sailing 4,80 m VB dinghies

and the elder ones, who can start a little bit more comfortably on our 7m  yachts.

And if you do like to have a sailing with a 34 m long traditional sailingship you can join the crew of the "Freedom" for strong sailingtrip.

We speak five languages- so international guests are no problem - we are looking forward to see new friends from all over the world.

On our swimming schoolferry we have a small cafe. Sitting in the evening sun you can follow the old traditional sailing ships, the fishing boats and the sailing yacht comming home from sea - and you can have your sundowner  while your kids do their free hours sailing.

Friday is our very special day - we do some racing - have you ever lost a race against your kids ? We bet on it !

For those who are found of fishing, Eckernfoerde offers highsea fishing tours every day - if they are in the harbour at 4 30  :)) am of course !! 

The sailing school for kids starts at 9 00 am. the elder course at 4 pm with the sundowner - this gives the chance of a relaxed second breakfast ...

OTS ELITESPORT WINDSURFING

It can be said  that OTS - Oliver-Tom Schliemann  GER 1001 is one of the best known windsurfers of the world - he is six times Junior World Champion.  So if you would like to learn more, see his page OTS or  find out what Google says about him !

Besides being worldwide racing he is educating kids from the first steps to free windsurfing.  In 2012 we will have three centers at the bay of ckernfoerde -  South Beach Eckernfoerde , Booknis Camping south of Damp  and the latest new one - opening  in April 2012 - the big sport center at Ostseecamping Damp Schuby Strand  The schools are offering special kids equipment with small sails and wide boards with soft decks. For more experienced surfers they offers sails up to 9.5 qm and of course training with a world champion.

Even for the elder ones OTS Elitesport offers basic  courses - and in fact we have more and more newcomers 50 + who sometimes show the youngster how the way goes ...

Bookings should be made right in time as we accept only  up to 6 surfers in a group and three groups a day. So we have time for each one.  All equipment like wetsuits is available.

YachtschuleBorby es una escuela de vela muy traditional para familas con ninos , jovenes i adultos.

Situado en el medio del puerto de Eckernförde solo 150 metros del centro, con restaurantes, casas viejas i pescadores. Desde 1976 Charlie, un instructor de la  Marina, ha asenado a mas de 3000 personas i ninos como navegar  , desde el primer nudo hasta la primera manga.

 

 Tenemos tres grupos differentes :

Los ninos de 7 a 12 , navegando con el Optimist

Los juveniles de 12 a 18, navegando 4.80 i VB.

I los mas adultos, empezando mas relejado con el yacht de 7m.

Si quieren navegar con un velero traditional de 34 metros, pueden ajudar el crew de la “Freedom”.

 

Hablamos cinquo idiomas, asi que clientes international son ningun problema, esperamos de encontrar i conocer nuevos amigos de todo el mundo.

Viernes es nuestro dia especial- hacemos algunas regattas- a perdido alguna vez contra sus pequenos ?

Le escuela de vela empieza a las nueve por los pequenos , por los adultos a los quatro de la tarde- lo que da el tiempo para levantarsetarde.

OTS ELITESPORT  se puede decir que OTS es uno de los mas conocidos windsurfistas del mundo,el es seis veces campeon del mundo juvenil. Si quiere aprender mas, mira a su paquina o consulte el Google. Aparte de estar competiendo eu todo el mundo el ensena a los pequenos el windsurf desde la primera vez hasta el final. Su centro esta 3 minutos del FERRY en la playa del norte de Eckernförde i la escuela oferta material especial pare pequenos con velas pequenas i tablas gordas. Por los windsurfistas mas buenos  tenemos velas hasta 9.5 qm i entrenamento con el campeon .Tambien para los adultos tenemos cursos. Tenemos muchos newcomers con 50 anos o mas, que ensenan los pequenos donde tienen que ir.
